Starfire Systems has developed a family of Ceramic Forming Molding compounds derived from our proprietary polymers.  This is a cost-effective way of producing high quality near-net shape Silicon Carbide (SiC) components at low firing temperatures.  These molding compounds are easy to handle and will require minimal machining of fired ceramics.  Starfire’s Ceramic Forming Molding Compounds can be tailored to meet specific requirements for processing and performance, depending on the application.  Our molding compounds yield high-strength ceramics that are resistant to corrosion and wear, even at high temperatures.
